Comments : Tonight's show was actually sold out before it was announced or advertised, but I still managed to get a ticket. A very nice line up featuring members of ASMZ and Sam Shalabi, amongst others. They played a short but nice concert in a small and packed café. Luckilly enough, I got a front row seat.

Comments : Hrsta play more often in Europe than in Montreal nowadays, so it was a great surprise and pleasure to see them headlining the Distronoto 8th anniversary show. Another great concert by Hrsta, as usual, with a very good setlist. It was funny to see Eric playing the guitar on some tracks instead of the drums.

Comments : Third (and last) show and second in-store for Marianne Dissard in Montreal in a week. A much bigger turnout than at Phonopolis and another nice show, although the band seemed a bit tired tonight.
Comments : Tonight's concerts are part of Art's Birthday organised by CKUT radio station. All the concerts are simultaneously broadcasted live on the radio. I just discovered tonight that Alexandre St-Onge was part of the band. The beginning of the show was too abstract/jazzy, but I started to get much more into it towards the end. Sadly, because of the tight broadcast schedule, it was over too quickly.

Comments : After last night's nice show, we decided to come back for more. I think the last in-store show I saw was about a year and a half ago. This was my first time visiting Phonopolis. Marianne and her band played for about 35 minutes and started the show with only two audience members (Emmanuel & I), taking requests. A few more people showed up towards the end of this amazingly intimate performance. Sorry if you missed it.
Comments : Another nice show on a very cold winter night. I am usually more reluctant towards French lyrics, but Marianne Dissard created the perfect balance between French pop and Arizona and permeated the Casa with much needed desert heat.
Comments : Just like Cloudscapes, Greg's show was shorter than last time I saw him at l'Absynthe and therefore gained a lot in intensity straight from the beginning. A nice and very trippy performance. His analog organ has really something special.
Comments : Nice to see Etienne again. I think he played one more show since I last saw him in September. Tonight's concert was shorter but seemed more structured and intense. Etienne looked more relaxed on stage. His handmade pedals still sound amazing.
Comments : A really good show to start off 2009. The perfect balance between Fly Pan Am and Feu Thérèse actually. The band seemed to enjoy themselves a lot on stage and I really look forward to see them again. (I think tonight was their second show ever in Montreal.) This was also my very first time at Lab Synthèse (nice, but I really have a problem with smoking venues nowadays).
